I don't have time to eat healthy.
Pre-packaged foods are quick and easy.
Eating clean is too expensive.
My kids are picky eaters, so I just give them what they want so that they can eat something.
Any of that sound familiar? Those are the excuses we busy moms often use to keep from facing facts. There's a lot of junk out there and many of us are unwittingly bringing it into our homes, feeding it to our families, and wondering why we all suffer from fatigue, poor concentration, digestion problems, or weight issues.
Enough is enough. The Busy Moms decided to live whole and healthy lives, and now we're sharing what we've learned with you. Are we saying that you can't indulge from time to time? Of course not! Is this a blog targeting those wanting to lose weight only? Definitely not! This blog is for the stay at home mom, the career mom...any woman who wants to learn ways to banish bad foods from their family's diet and replace them with wholesome alternatives. Whether your goal is to lose weight, cut your cravings for junk food, or you just plain want to find some good recipes, we are here for you.
Wife, mom of 2, Army wife, and cake decorator...yep I rarely have time to think a complete thought. Being busy has not stopped my mission to provide my family with healthy meals and make sure that I take care of myself. My goal is weight loss. After being 360 lbs I am now 220 and I will never go back to that nor let my kids live a lifestyle that leads to that. My mission is to feed my family and not make them feel like they are eating health food!
As an Army wife and mother of 2, I am already plenty busy. Add a career as an independent author of Romance and Young Adult novels, and you've got yourself one busy mom! My goal is not weight loss, but rather a wholesome lifestyle and freedom from cravings of junk food, sluggishness and low iron levels. I am on a mission to get my husband eating better and to set a better example for my kids.
